ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Lauren is a native Texan who believes great design starts with how a space makes you feel. Raised in a small town, she grew up surrounded by creativity, curiosity, and a hands-on mindset. Some of her earliest memories include spending time outdoors, dreaming up ideas, and tagging along with her dad in his workshop—experiences that shaped her appreciation for craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Rearranging furniture in her family’s home (and later her friends’ bedrooms) came naturally, long before she realized it was the beginning of a lifelong passion.

 

Before interior design, Lauren imagined a future in counseling or social work, drawn to connecting with people on a meaningful level. That path shifted during her junior year of high school when a fire destroyed her family’s kitchen. Being deeply involved in the renovation process—working alongside contractors and helping guide decisions—sparked a realization: she loved transforming spaces and helping others envision what was possible.

 

Lauren earned her degree in Interior Design and Technology from Texas State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2011. She began her career designing custom residential interiors and later spent more than a decade specializing in model home merchandising and new-build construction. This experience gave her a deep understanding of how homes are built, furnished, and ultimately lived in, leading to award-winning projects recognized both locally and nationally.

Travel is a constant source of inspiration for Lauren, especially time spent along the Caribbean coast. The crystal-clear water, relaxed architecture, and natural textures influence her design approach, which prioritizes ease, balance, and livability. She believes a home should support everyday life—beautiful, intentional, and refreshingly simple.

 

Lauren is the founder and principal designer of SALTED INTERIORS, LLC. She is an NCIDQ Registered Designer and holds Registered Interior Design licensure through the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners.
